The Sinclair Broadcast Group is one of the largest television companies. The group owns 193 stations across the United States and is the leading local news provider across the country. The Sinclair stations in Oklahoma include KOKH Fox 25 and KOCB CW34 in Oklahoma City, and KTUL ABC 8 in Tulsa. They also have eight stations in Texas. The company has so much depth that includes job opportunities for students all over the county.
KOKH is the local Fox News affiliate and covers a wide-range of stories. They provide our local news as well as headlining news around the country. They keep us up-to-date with OSU, OU, high schools across Oklahoma and the OKC Thunder. KOCB provides entertainment programming from the CW network. The two stations share studios and transmitter facilities on East Wilshire Boulevard on the city's northeast side.
KTUL is the local ABC affiliate andprovides local and national news, sports, weather and notice of community events in Tulsa, Oklahoma and surrounding towns.
Amy Miller and Vicki Khalili are HR coordinators for Sinclair, and they are interested in networking with students majoring in journalism, communications, digital media and marketing. They are looking for full-time, internships and part-time positions to be filled within the company. Mason Waldvogul is the Assistant News Director for KTUL, and he is an OSU alumnus.
We’re excited to have the opportunity to network with these professionals at this year’s event. Check out the local Sinclair stations online to learn more: http://cwokc.com, https://okcfox.com and https://ktul.com.
